Tiranga Puri Recipe

  • wheat flour -3 cups
  • beet root(boiled & churned)-2
  • spinach(ground)-1/2 cup
  • oil
  • ajwain a pinch
  • salt according to taste
  • turmeric-1tsp
  • water to knead
  • oil for frying
How to make Tiranga Puri :
  1. Divide flour in 3 parts
  2. In first part put churned beet root,ajwain,oil(1 tsp),water knead it in soft dough
  3. In second part put spinach,salt,ajwain,oil& knead this too in dough
  4. In last part put turmeric,salt,ajwain ,water knead it to dough
  5. Keep aside covered with wet cloth for 1/2 an hour
  6. Make pedas (round balls)
  7. For 1 puri,press 3 pedas of 3 different coloured dough on the edge of eachother so that they make a shape of triangle
  8. Roll them together& fry puris serve hot puris with chutney,channa or paneer sabji
