Tiranga Puri Recipe

Ingredients:


wheat flour -3 cups
beet root(boiled & churned)-2
spinach(ground)-1/2 cup
oil
ajwain a pinch
salt according to taste
turmeric-1tsp
water to knead
oil for frying


Preparation:

  • Divide flour in 3 parts
  • In first part put churned beet root,ajwain,oil(1 tsp),water knead it in soft dough
  • In second part put spinach,salt,ajwain,oil& knead this too in dough
  • In last part put turmeric,salt,ajwain ,water knead it to dough
  • Keep aside covered with wet cloth for 1/2 an hour
  • Make pedas (round balls)
  • For 1 puri,press 3 pedas of 3 different coloured dough on the edge of eachother so that they make a shape of triangle
  • Roll them together& fry puris serve hot puris with chutney,channa or paneer sabji
